How NOT to Sell a House – The Importance of Curb Appeal in San Diego
Pull up to a San Diego house, and what is the first thing that catches the eye? The yard, right?
I came across this photo while perusing the Sandicor Multiple Listing Service today. I showed it to my team telling them this is a perfect example on how not to sell a San Diego house. Apparently the San Diego home seller was not aware that the yard sets the expectations of San Diego homebuyers before they’ve even stepped into the house.
I imagine the San Diego REALTOR sending their San Diego homebuyer the listing of this property. My experience is that homebuyers would immediately delete the listing. This San Diego house has been on the market for over 2 months without selling. In the current San Diego real estate market, this is an anomaly. The average days on market for a properly priced and ready for market San Diego property is less than a week.
It is so obvious that the junk in this yard is affecting this homes value. It’s unfortunate that for whatever reason the owner of this San Diego property hasn’t made caring for the yard a priority and it is proving to make this house harder to sell.
