Zillow aquired Trulia for $3.5 billion in stock. Real Estate professionals are speculating how this will affect their business. Sites like Zillow and Trulia provide real estate data. Much of the data is from the various Multiple Listing Services across the country. That data is researched and provided to the Multiple Listing Services by actual real estate professionals.
The National Association of Realtors reported that consumers are going to go online for real estate information but will continue to rely on local real estate professionals when they buy and sell homes.
What I find interesting is that it’s been implied that the need for real estate brokers, like me, could be eliminated by these sites. Really?? So, you’re probably wondering what is important about having an experienced real estate professional representing and guiding you.
